The Harsh medium duty PGT18 Front End tipping gears are designed to suit 18T vehicles. The PGT18 is part of our Gladiator range and is a combined ram and tank tipping gear. The Gladiator ram and tank represents the perfect answer for profitable tipping on 4x2 tippers. Lowest wet weight in the market, one-piece tube design with optional chrome/phosphate plating make the PGT18 the only choice for front end tipping.

  • Cylinder - All our front-end cylinders are manufactured from one-piece solid tubing eliminating the need for stop clips or welded tube ends. Bleeding of air is automatic
  • Machining- Precision machining with closely controlled tolerances gives minimum clearances between the tubes producing a stiffer, more stable cylinder
  • Overlaps– Large overlaps between the stages gives better rigidity to the cylinder
  • Surface Finish– Stone ground tube surfaces and chromed final stages provide the longest possible seal life.
  • Design – Close-fitting tubes with thick wall and small gaps between each cylinder means high strength and minimum oil to extend the cylinders.
  • Control Valves – The hydraulic control has provision for easy installation of a pressure switch for use with ‘body up’ warning signals
